Latin is a way to talk.

It uses many word endings. These endings change a word's meaning. This helps people know who is doing an action.

Words have three kinds of gender. They can be masculine, feminine, or neuter. This is shown by other words in the sentence.

Nouns have different endings called cases. These show if a word is a subject or an object. Some cases show things like "of" or "to."

In Latin, you do not always need a word for "the" or "a." The endings tell you what the words do. It is a very neat way to speak.
