You can make it very fast. Just add hot water or milk to the powder. Then, stir it in. It can come as fine powder or tiny crystals.

People love it because it is easy to use. It does not leave messy grounds behind. It is also light and easy to ship. In South Korea, people often buy a "coffee mix." This is a mix of coffee, sugar, and creamer. In Greece, people use it to make a cold drink called a frappé.

Making it uses two main ways. One way is called freeze-drying. This uses a machine to freeze the coffee. Then, it removes the water in a vacuum. This way makes high-quality coffee.

Another way is called spray drying. This uses heat to dry the liquid very quickly. It makes small, round bits.

Some people even use it for art. You can use coffee to dye paper. This makes the paper look very old.
