This scan revealed that the skull bones had fewer air spaces than later oviraptorosaurs. This means it was less birdlike in its bone structure. The scan also showed that the optic lobes were expanded. It also showed that the olfactory lobes, which are used for smelling, were reduced. 
One of the most interesting discoveries involves the feathers of Incisivosaurus. In 2010, two juvenile specimens were described that showed traces of feathers.
