He became a famous leader. He studied how to run big companies. People call his ideas Fayolism.

Fayol worked in many mines. He learned how to stop underground fires. He also helped workers work in teams. Later, he led a large company. The firm had money problems. Fayol made a plan to fix it. The company became very strong. It grew to be one of the largest in Europe.

Fayol wrote about how to manage groups. He said there are six types of work in a company. These include technical work and money work. He also named five jobs for a manager. Managers must plan and organize. They must also lead and check the work. This checking helps them fix mistakes.

He also gave fourteen rules for leaders. One rule is the division of work. This means workers focus on one task. This helps them work fast and well. Another rule is called equity. This means leaders must be kind and fair to all. Fayol's ideas still help people lead today.
