She was known for having a contralto voice. This means her voice was deep, full, and dark. Many people call her one of the most important musicians in Iran. Her singing had a lot of power and energy. She could move smoothly between high and low notes. This skill helped her perform Avaz, which is a type of Persian vocal music.

Learning to sing like this takes a lot of hard work. Hayedeh studied Avaz with a famous composer named Ali Tajvidi. She learned how to use her voice to make graceful sounds. These sounds include vibrato and glissando. A vibrato is a slight shaking in the voice. A glissando is a smooth slide between notes. She also had a great sense of musical timing. This helped her follow the rhythm of the music perfectly. She could express the feelings of every song she sang.

Hayedeh's career began in the late 1960s in Tehran. Her first big hit was a song called "Azadeh" in 1968. This song was performed with the Gol-ha Orchestra on Radio Tehran. She also released a song called "Raftam" that same year. During the 1970s, she started singing Persian pop music too. She worked with many different songwriters during this time. Some of these people were Anoushiravan Rohani and Fereydoun Khoshnoud. She became a star in her home country.

Life changed for Hayedeh when she moved away from Iran. She moved to the United Kingdom in 1978. Later, she moved to Los Angeles in 1982. This city became a home for many people from Iran. Hayedeh released many successful albums while living in the United States. Some of her songs were "Rouzaye Roshan" and "Zendegi." Even though she was far away, people in Iran still listened to her music.
