Gheorghe Zamfir is a famous musician from Romania. He plays the nai. The nai is a pan flute made of pipes. Most pan flutes have 20 pipes. Zamfir uses much larger ones. He uses 22, 25, 28, or even 30 pipes. This lets him play more notes. People call him "The Master of the Pan Flute."

Zamfir shares his music in many ways. He plays for movies. You can hear his music in films like "The Karate Kid." He also plays with big groups. He has played with a choir and a large orchestra. His music reached many people around the world. He had hits in the UK and Canada. One song, "The Lonely Shepherd," is very famous. He even played at a special concert at the Vatican. This concert helps raise money for charity. Zamfir still lives in Bucharest. He teaches others how to play the pan flute.
