It includes many events in the Winter Olympics. In the 1970s, people called it "hot-dogging."

One event is aerials.

Skiers jump off big ramps. They can fly up to 6 meters high. They do flips and twists in the air. To stay safe, they practice in the summer. They use water ramps and land in a big pool.

Another event is moguls.

These skiers go down a trail of snow bumps. They must be fast and calm. They can also do jumps.

Some skiers do slopestyle. They ski down a course with rails and jumps. They often use twin-tip skis. These skis have ends that curve up. This helps them land backwards.

There is also halfpipe skiing. Skiers ride in a U-shaped path. They do flips and tricks as they go. Other events include ski cross and acroski. Acroski was like ski ballet. It used music and dance moves.
