Could life exist on other worlds?

Scientists call this study astrobiology. This is the study of life in space. So far, we have not found any alien life. We do not know if it is out there.

Life could be very simple. It might just be tiny cells. It could also be smart beings. These beings might build big cities.

Some planets are in a Goldilocks zone. This is a place around a star. It is not too hot or too cold. In this zone, water can stay liquid. Liquid water is very important for life.

But being in this zone is not enough. Venus is in the zone. Still, it has no liquid water. The air there is not right. Gas giants are also hard places to live. Their air has too much pressure.

We search for life in many ways. We use big radio tools.

These tools listen for signals from space. We also use telescopes to look at far planets. Space is very big. It takes a long time to travel there. The Voyager 2 probe is moving fast. Even so, it would take 100,000 years to reach the nearest star system.
