The city acts as a main center for many local offices. It is a place where many people live, work, and travel.

Moving around Dhule is very easy because of its location. The city sits at a junction where three National Highways meet. These highways are named NH-3, NH-6, and NH-211. The government is even working to turn four more state roads into National Highways. This means Dhule could soon sit where seven National Highways meet!

A new railway project called the Manmad–Indore Rail Project is also planned. This will help more people and goods reach the city.

Dhule has a long and changing history. Long ago, it was just a small village. It passed through the hands of many different rulers. These included Arab kings, the Mughals, and the Nizam. Around the year 1795, the Peshwas took control. In 1803, a terrible famine and war caused people to leave the town. Later, in 1804, a man named Balaji Balwant helped people move back. By 1818, the British took control of the area.

Today, Dhule is a busy place for many different jobs. It is a hub for making textiles, edible oil, and using power-looms. The city is also known for making very pure milk and ghee. It is a leader in making power from the wind. Near the villages of Chhadvel Korde and Nijampur, there is a huge wind mill project.

There is even one of the largest solar projects in Asia nearby. The city also has a large logistics park for moving goods.

The weather in Dhule changes through four different seasons. The year is mostly dry, except during the monsoon season. The hot season lasts from March to May. During this time, the temperature can reach 40.7 degrees Celsius. The monsoon season brings rain from June until September. This makes the air feel very wet and humid.

From November to January, the weather becomes much cooler. This helps the people of Dhule prepare for the hot months ahead.
