This information can travel through many paths. It can move through copper wires or glass fibers. It can even travel through the air as radio waves.

There are two main ways to send this data. The first way is analog. An analog signal is a continuous wave. It can carry voices, images, or video. The second way is digital. Digital signals use quick pulses to send data. Digital is very useful. It helps us find and fix mistakes in the message.

Data can also move in different patterns. Serial transmission sends bits one by one on a single path. This works well for long distances. Parallel transmission sends many bits at the same time on many paths. This is very fast. It is often used inside computers. We use these tools for many things. They help our phones, computers, and even our TVs work every day.
