This includes countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Many people call this a combination of several cultures. These include Indian Hindus, Indian Muslims, and Indian Sikhs. The culture is very diverse from place to place.

It is one of the oldest continuous traditions in the world.

Many parts of this culture work in unique ways. Religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism are based on dharma and karma. These are special ideas about life and actions. Another important idea is ahimsa, which means nonviolence. Shri Mahatma Gandhi used this to help unite India. This idea later helped leaders in the American civil rights movement. Even food and dance follow specific patterns. For example, a Sadya is a typical meal from Kerala.

They helped introduce rice cultivation to the land. These groups helped shape Indian art and music too.
