In 2024, a separate juvenile specimen was sold at auction for $30,510,000. These finds help scientists understand how Ceratosaurus grew from a small juvenile to a large adult. Each new fossil provides a piece of the biological puzzle. This allows researchers to better understand the life cycles of Jurassic predators.
