The show has changed its look over many years. For most of its history, it used stop-motion animation. This is a way to make moving pictures using real models. Later, the show switched to CGI, which is computer animation. This change happened in 2010 for the series Ready, Steady, Build! CGI allowed the creators to make much larger building projects. These projects would have been too big for the old model sets. The show was created by Keith Chapman for HIT Entertainment.
