Blogger is a tool for writing online.

It helps people make blogs. A blog is a site for writing entries. Each entry has a time stamp. This shows when it was written.

A company called Pyra Labs started Blogger in 1999. Google bought them in 2003. Now Google hosts the blogs. This means Google uses its own servers to keep them running.

Using Google's servers helps the service stay reliable.

One user can have up to 100 blogs. You can use a special web address for your blog. This is called a custom domain. You can also use a blogspot.com address.

Blogger has many parts to help you. You can add pictures to your posts. You can also pick different themes. Themes are designs that change how your blog looks. Some themes help your blog load faster.

You can even write in many languages. There are 60 languages available. This helps people talk to each other all over the world.
