Most blogs use posts. A post is a single entry of text or images. These posts usually appear in reverse chronological order. This means the newest post stays at the top. This way, you see the latest news first.

In the past, you needed to know computer code to make a blog. Now, special tools make it easy for anyone. Some blogs have just one writer. Other blogs have many authors. We call these multi-author blogs.

Many blogs are interactive. This means they let readers talk back. You can leave a comment on a post. This helps people build social relations.

Blogs can focus on many topics. Some people write about science or art. Others share videos or music. Some are even called vlogs if they focus on video. In 2022, there were over 600 million public blogs. They are a big part of how we share things today.
