It is in a group called the Pictor constellation. This star is very young. It is only 20 to 26 million years old. It is much bigger than our Sun. It is also 8.7 times brighter.

Scientists found two planets there. We call these planets Beta Pictoris b and c. They orbit in a large ring of dust and gas. This ring is called a debris disk.

The disk is very large. It is seen edge-on from Earth. This means we see it from the side. The disk has a second, smaller ring too. This second disk is tilted at a small angle. A big planet might help make this shape. The star also has many exocomets. These are comets that orbit a star other than our Sun.

The star is 63.4 light years away from us. It moves through space with other young stars. They all share the same age and motion.
