Water moves from the river's source to its mouth. The source starts in the south-western Ural Mountains. From there, the water travels a long way. It flows into many other rivers along the way. These smaller rivers are called tributaries. They join the Belaya to make it even bigger. The river finally flows into the Kama river. This happens near a town called Neftekamsk.

The city of Ufa is also on the Belaya. This is where the Ufa river meets the Belaya. Birsk is one more town located by the water. These places are all part of the river's journey.
