geography Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Anglo-America is a part of the Americas. In this region, most people speak English. It includes the United States and most of Canada. It also includes some islands in the Caribbean.

This area is different from Latin America. In Latin America, people often speak Spanish, French, or Portuguese. Some parts of Canada are not in Anglo-America. This includes Quebec and Inuit Nunangat. In those places, most people do not speak English.

Many people move to Anglo-America from all over the world. They come from places like Asia, Africa, and Europe. Some also come from Latin America. People move to find better jobs. They may want to escape hard things like poverty or conflict.

Because of this, the people in Anglo-America come from many backgrounds. You can find many different ethnic groups living together. This makes the region a very diverse place to live.
