Most people think an accident is just bad luck. But experts say many accidents can be stopped. They often happen because of risks that no one saw. Some accidents come from human error. Research shows this is true for up to 80% of cases.

Some accidents happen at work. About 400 million accidents happen on the job each year. These can cause many injuries or even death. Other accidents happen during fun times, like sports.
