Unenlagiinae are a group of dinosaurs with long noses.

Most lived in South America. Some lived in Antarctica. Some fossils might even be from Australia. These dinosaurs lived a long time ago.

They had special bodies. Their tails were stiff. They had long, thin legs. They also had a special foot part called a subarctometatarsus. This means the middle bone in the foot was pinched at the top.

These parts helped them hunt. Their long legs helped them run very fast. This was good for catching small, quick prey. Other dinosaurs had wider feet to grip large prey. But unenlagiines were built for speed.

One very large member was Austroraptor. It grew up to 6 meters long.

Scientists think these dinosaurs became different because of the Earth. Long ago, the land broke apart. This left them alone in a place called Gondwana. Being alone helped them change in their own way.
