She has appeared in more than 250 Nollywood movies throughout her career.

Jombo's diverse skills allow her to shape stories from the initial writing stage to the final production.

Jombo follows several distinct paths to create cinema. As a screenwriter, she writes the screenplay, which is the written text of a movie. Her writing credits include titles like "Games Men Play" and "A Time to Love." As a producer, she oversees the practical aspects of making a film. In 2008, she began executive production through her own company, Uche Jombo Production. Finally, she serves as a director, the person who leads the creative vision of a film. She began directing in 2015 with the movie "Lost in Us."

Her career shows a clear progression through different levels of film involvement. She entered the industry in 1999 with her debut in the movie "Visa to Hell." For many years, she focused primarily on acting in various roles. As she gained experience, she moved into writing and producing. In 2008, she established her production company to manage her own projects. By 2015, she expanded her expertise even further by moving into directing.

Jombo’s professional journey is built on a strong academic foundation. She graduated from the University of Calabar in Cross River State, Nigeria. There, she studied Mathematics and Statistics. She also studied Computer Programming at the Federal University of Technology Minna. This background in technical subjects provided a unique base for her creative career.

Her transition from mathematics and programming to the arts shows the many paths a career can take.

Her work has earned significant recognition through numerous awards and honors. She has won several "Best Actress" awards at major ceremonies. For example, she won Best Actress at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards for "Keep My Will." She also received many awards for the film "Damage," which addressed the serious issue of domestic violence. In 2011, she won Best Actress Leading Role at the ELOY awards for that same film.

In addition to her film career, Jombo is involved in social leadership and brand representation. She serves as an ambassador for Globacom, a major telecommunications company. She also runs a non-governmental organization (NGO) called "Uche Jombo and You." This organization is dedicated to helping the youth of Nigeria.

Her work in the NGO sector shows how she uses her public platform for community support.

Jombo’s life includes both professional challenges and personal milestones. During her career, she faced a legal issue when she was arrested for filming in a police station in Surulere, Lagos, without permission from the Inspector General of Police. On a personal level, she married Kenny Rodriguez in 2012. Following the birth of her son, Matthew, she transitioned into directing in 2015.
