In contrast, proponents of transhumanism and techno-progressivism believe technological progress improves the human condition. There is also the concept of "appropriate technology." This refers to compromises used by developing nations that have an excess of labor but a scarcity of cash. These debates continue as society weighs the costs against the progress.
