Many islands are found in this sea. The Cuyo Islands and Cagayan Islands are in Palawan. The Mapun and Turtle Islands are in Tawi-Tawi. Palawan sits to the northwest of the sea. The Sulu Archipelago is to the southeast. Borneo is to the southwest. The Visayas are to the northeast.
