Wynn's way of working involves planning and building very expensive resorts. He often uses special designs to make them feel special. For example, The Mirage was the first casino to use security cameras on all table games all the time.

The Bellagio is another famous project with a large, man-made lake. This lake has fountains that dance to music.

When he was four, his father changed their last name to Wynn. This was done to avoid unfair treatment. After high school, Wynn studied English literature at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts. His life changed when his father died during heart surgery. This left the family with many gambling debts to pay.

His career started in the gambling industry with bingo parlors. In 1967, he moved to Las Vegas to work at the Frontier Hotel. By 1973, he was the youngest casino owner in Las Vegas.

Wynn has built many different types of large resorts. He opened Wynn Las Vegas in 2005 for $2.7 billion.
