Some places have changed over the years. In 2004, four areas joined the city of Nampo. These were Chollima, Kangso, Ryonggang, and Taean. Ryonggang was once its own county. Onchon County was also a separate place. In 2010, Onchon joined Nampo as well. This shows how borders can move over time.
