These cranes travel very far. This long trip is called migration. They fly from Russia to warmer places for winter. Most birds fly to China. Some fly to Iran. They love to live in wet marshlands.

Siberian cranes eat many things. They eat roots, seeds, and small fish. They even swallow tiny pebbles to help crush their food.

These birds are in big trouble. They are critically endangered. This means there are very few left in the wild. In 2010, there were only about 3,200 birds. By 2024, the number grew to about 5,500. People face many challenges to keep them safe. Hunting and changes to their wet homes make it hard. We must work to protect their special way of life.
