Many people think Shoshenq I is a person from the Hebrew Bible. The Bible mentions a king named Shishak. Most scholars believe Shishak and Shoshenq are the same person. The Bible says Shishak invaded the land of Judah. He reportedly took treasures from a temple built by King Solomon. Some experts look at the carvings at Karnak to check this story.
