If a rule is not clear, they use Qiyas. Qiyas is a way to use smart thinking to find answers. This is called analogical reasoning. This school does not rely on local customs. It also does not rely on personal opinions. Today, more than 350 million people follow this way. It is the third-largest Sunni school. Many followers live in Southeast Asia. You can also find them in Egypt and the Horn of Africa. Traders helped spread these ideas across the Indian Ocean long ago.
