In Kabbalah, people study ten parts called Sefirot.

These parts help explain how a single God works. They are not ten different gods. Instead, they are like channels. Think of them like rays of light from the sun. One sun makes many rays of light. The Sefirot show how God's will reaches our world.

They come from the Ein Sof. This name means "without end." It is the infinite state of the universe. The Sefirot flow down from the Ein Sof like a flame. The first part is called Keter, or the Crown. It is very close to the infinite. The last part is called Malkuth, or the Kingdom. It is closest to our physical world.

Some parts show how we think. These are called intellect. Other parts show how we feel. These are called emotions. For example, one part is Chesed, which means kindness. Another is Gevurah, which means discipline.

People use these ideas to understand the soul. They believe the soul mirrors these divine parts. This helps them study both God and themselves.
