He makes many kinds of stories. He drew a superhero series called Zot! in 1984. He also made a book called The Sculptor in 2015. Scott likes to use new tools. He uses computers to make art. He even used a web browser to make an "infinite canvas." This lets art spread out in ways a paper book cannot.

Scott is famous for his books about how comics work. His book Understanding Comics came out in 1993. He also wrote Reinventing Comics and Making Comics. These books use drawings to teach people about art. He even went on a big tour to talk about them.

He also helps other artists. In 1988, he helped write the Creator's Bill of Rights. This document helps protect the rights of artists. It says they should own what they make. It also says they should get fair pay. Scott also started the 24-hour comic challenge. In this task, an artist makes a 24-page comic in just one day!
