Russian Blues may have started in Russia. Some say they came from a place called Arkhangelsk. Sailors may have brought them to Europe long ago. After World War II, breeders mixed them with Siamese cats. This helped keep the breed going. Most Russian Blues today are purebred. This means their family history is well known. They are still a rare breed today.
