This article covers sensitive topics: social_justice. Parents can manage visibility in Parental Controls.

In a society, a ruling class has much power. They set the rules for politics and money. They decide how a country works.

In the past, different groups held this power. Feudal lords held power by owning land. In other times, slave owners held power. This was very unfair to many people.

In our time, business owners often lead. Some call them the bourgeoisie. They own the tools and places used to make goods. This is called the means of production. They also shape the ideas and culture of the land.

Some people want to change this system. Marxists believe workers should lead instead. They want a state run by the working class. They want to end private property. Anarchists also want to end the ruling class. But they want to end the state too. They worry new leaders will just take old power.
