Rosicrucianism is a spiritual movement.

It uses the Rose Cross as its symbol. This movement began in Europe during the early 1600s.

It started after some secret books were published.

These books told stories about a hidden group. One story was about a man named C.R.C. He was a doctor and a thinker. The books said he founded a brotherhood of men. These men promised to heal the sick for free. They also promised to keep their group a secret.

Many people were excited by these stories. Some thought the group could help change the world. They wanted to use science and deep truths. However, there is a big debate about these books. Some thinkers believe the stories were real. Others think they were a hoax, or a joke. One man named Johannes Valentinus Andreae might have written them. He later called one of the books a parody. A parody is a story meant to make fun of something. Even so, many groups formed later. They claimed to follow the original Rosicrucians.
