Guérin helped make a big group for football. This group is called FIFA. He helped bring people together in Paris. Seven countries met there to sign papers. These papers started the group and its first rules.

Guérin was the first president of FIFA. He was 28 years old when he was elected. This happened in May of 1904. He led the group for two years.

During his time as leader, the group grew. Eight more groups joined FIFA. One of these was the Football Association. Guérin worked for a group called the Union of French Athletic Sports Societies. He was the secretary for their football part. He worked hard to help the game grow for everyone.
