Rabia was a very religious person. She is known as a Sufi. Sufis are people who focus on their love for God. She taught a special idea called divine love. She believed people should love God for love alone. She did not want rewards for her prayers. She did not want to avoid punishment either.

Many people call her a saint. She lived a very simple life. She spent much time alone to pray. Even today, people find her stories inspiring. Her ideas are still part of many cultures. She even appears in modern movies and songs.
