This article covers sensitive topics: religion. Parents can manage visibility in Parental Controls.

A man named Anselm wrote a book called the Proslogion. He was a cleric who lived long ago. He wrote this book between the years 1077 and 1078. It is a prayer used to think about God. Anselm wanted to use his mind to understand his faith.

In the book, he shares a famous idea. This idea is a way to prove God exists. He calls God the greatest thing we can think of. Anselm says that being real is better than being just an idea. If the greatest thing lived only in our minds, it would not be the greatest. To be the truly greatest, it must also exist in real life. This is a very big idea in philosophy.

Anselm also talks about many other things. He writes about how God is both kind and just. He thinks about how God is outside of time and place. People have different opinions about his ideas. Some find them very helpful, while others disagree. His work is still a big part of how people study faith today.
