Prince Randian was a famous performer. He was born in British Guiana. He had a condition called tetra-amelia syndrome. This means he was born without arms or legs. He moved to the United States in 1889. He worked in circuses for 45 years.

Randian had many special skills. He could roll cigarettes using only his lips. He could also write or paint with a brush in his mouth. He even used a razor to shave himself. He kept his tools in a wooden box. He made and painted the box himself.

To perform, he wore a tight wool suit. This suit made him look like a caterpillar or a snake. He moved across the stage by wiggling his hips and shoulders. He was a very skilled man. He was even in a film called Freaks. People still remember him today. His image was used on a cover for the band Ramones. A singer named Tom Waits also wrote a song about him.
