Now, many societies are moving to a new stage. We call this a post-industrial society. In this stage, the service sector grows. This means people earn money by providing services. They do not just make physical things. Instead, they share knowledge and ideas.

Knowledge is very important now. It is a type of capital. This helps the economy grow. Because of this, experts are very useful. Many people now work in offices. They might be scientists or IT experts. They might also be artists or musicians.

Universities and research centers become very important. They help train these experts. Cities also change in this new way. They become hubs for sharing information. This helps people connect across the globe. Some people think this change is good. It can help people focus on social justice. Others worry about new problems like urban sprawl. They also worry about the environment.
