The tour has many different levels. The Korn Ferry Tour is for players who are not yet ready. The PGA Tour Champions is for players aged 50 or older.

This group has a long history. It grew from the PGA of America. In 1968, the tour players became their own group. They wanted to manage their own games and money. The group officially took its current name in 1975.

Many great players have played here. Byron Nelson won 18 games in one year. That was in 1945. Sam Snead won 82 games in his career. Tiger Woods was also a star. He won 57 of his 82 titles.

Players work hard to win the FedEx Cup. This is a big race at the end of the season. Players earn points in many games. The top 125 players enter the playoffs.
