Skating with such grace takes a lot of hard work. Peggy used an upright and relaxed way to hold her body. This was helped by her training in compulsory figures. Her mother even made her skating costumes. For the 1968 Olympics, her mother chose a bright color called chartreuse. This color is named after a liqueur from France. The bright color may have helped the local fans cheer for her.
