The Paramaras built many stone temples. Most of them followed the faith of Shiva. They also helped Jain scholars. Over time, they fought many wars with neighbors. This caused their power to rise and fall. Later, they moved their capital to a place called Mandu. The last king, Mahalakadeva, was defeated in 1305. Even so, the family ruled for a few more years. They left behind a great culture in Malwa.
