This land is now part of Bulgaria and Greece. A king named Teres I started this great state. He was the first powerful king of the Odrysians. His son, Sitalces, helped the kingdom grow even more. The kingdom became very rich and strong.

Sitalces made a deal to help the city of Athens. This made the kingdom a very important power. Later, the kingdom began to break apart. A king named Philip II of Macedon conquered it. Much later, a leader named Seuthes III made a small kingdom again. He built a new capital city called Seuthopolis.
