He was a key part of a movement called Constructivism. This was a way of making art that used shapes and science. Gabo did not just use clay or stone. He used new things like nylon, wire, and glass. He even used clear plastic and metal.

Gabo wanted to show two special things in his art. First, he wanted to show space. Most sculptures are solid blocks. Gabo made shapes that showed the empty space inside them. He used thin threads to make these gaps look real. Second, he wanted to show time. He made kinetic sculptures. Kinetic means things that move. Some of his works even used motors to move!

He lived in many places like Russia, France, and the United States. He studied medicine and engineering before he became an artist. This helped him build complex parts. He also made prints using wood. Many museums now keep his work. You can see his art in London and New York. His work helps us see the beauty in space and movement.
