KAGU is a radio station in Spokane, Washington.

It is run by Gonzaga University. Today, it plays classical music. It also shares shows from the Metropolitan Opera. This means people can hear grand opera on the radio.

In the past, the station was very different. It started in 1988 with a small signal. Students made many exciting shows. They played folk and blues music. Some shows played rock and punk tunes. One show was called "The Rap Attack."

It played hip-hop music. It even played famous records before they were sold in stores. This show was very well known.

In 1996, the station changed its style. It began to play only classical music. In 2004, the station moved its equipment. They moved the transmitter to a new site on Tower Mountain.

This move gave the station more power. Now, the signal can reach 60 miles away. It is a big part of the local area.
