He worked with a man named Edward Kelley to do this. They traveled through Europe to meet kings and emperors. They visited places like Prague Castle and Poland. Some people in England even thought Dee was a spy for the Queen. This made his life very difficult and stressful at times.

Life was not always easy for John Dee. When he returned to England after his travels, his home was damaged. Many of his precious books and tools were stolen. He lost much of the money he had made. Even though he worked for the Queen again, he did not stay wealthy. He died in London while he was very poor. We still do not know exactly where his grave is located.
