Iris Kyle is a famous professional female bodybuilder. Bodybuilding is a sport where athletes train to build strong muscles.

She is the most successful professional bodybuilder ever. This is true for both men and women. She has won twenty professional bodybuilding titles in her career. These include ten overall Ms. Olympia titles. She also won many Ms. International titles.

Iris started her journey with many different sports. She played basketball as a point guard. She also played softball as a shortstop. She ran cross country and played volleyball.

After moving to Orange County, California, she wanted a sculpted physique. She joined a gym called Bally Total Fitness. She worked there as an aerobics teacher and a sales manager. This is where she began lifting weights to reach her goals.

Iris had a very clear goal for her body. She looked at photos of Lenda Murray in magazines. She kept a picture of Murray on her refrigerator.

She wanted to build a body like Murray and Bev Francis. A promoter named Butch Dennis told her to enter a contest. This was the 1994 Long Beach Muscle Classic. She won that contest and started her path to becoming a pro. Patrick Lynn coached her from 1994 until she turned professional.

Her career had many big moments and hard challenges. She won her first professional contest at the 2001 Ms. Olympia. In 2004, she beat Lenda Murray to win the Ms. Olympia title.

The rules changed in 2005 to ask for less muscle. This allowed Yaxeni Oriquen-Garcia to win the title instead. Iris rebounded and won many more titles later. She won her ninth overall Ms. Olympia title in 2013. She then won her tenth title in 2014 to break her own record.

Iris has left and returned to the sport several times. She first announced her retirement after her win in 2014. However, she came out of retirement in 2015 to compete again.

She also works in Japan to promote bodybuilding shows. She is still ranked as a top female bodybuilder. Her many wins show her skill and her hard work. She remains a major name in the history of the sport.
