Deniers often call their work "revisionism." Real historians use revisionism to update history with new facts. They do not ignore the truth. Deniers are different. They start with a false idea. Then they ignore evidence to fit that idea. This makes their work different from real history.

Many people worked to save the truth. General Dwight D. Eisenhower saw the camps. He ordered many photos to be taken. He wanted people to see the real facts.

Later, the Nuremberg trials used many documents to show what happened. In 1961, a man named Adolf Eichmann stood trial in Israel. This trial was on TV around the world. It helped many people learn the truth.

Today, many places have laws against denial. Countries like Germany and Canada say it is illegal. The United Nations also speaks out against it.
