This book challenged old ideas about the world. Some say his work helped start a big change in science later on. He also wrote a book about his faith. He wrote this to show why his people believed what they did.

Life was not always easy for him. He faced hard times in 1378. He also lost his son in a sad event in 1391. Even so, he did not stop his work. His big ideas helped other thinkers many years later.
