Rubini had a very special way of using his voice. He was known for his skill in the highest notes. This part of the voice is called the tenorino. He could sing a very high, ringing note called a high F. Most singers today find this note very hard to sing. He also used a technique called vibrato. This is a slight shaking in the sound of the voice. It helped him show deep feelings during his shows. Some people said his singing could be felt in the soul.

His musical journey began when he was a young boy. At twelve years old, he played the violin in Bergamo. He worked at a place called the Teatro Riccardi. In 1814, he sang in a show in Pavia. This was his first time appearing as a singer. Later, he spent ten years living and working in Naples. Between 1815 and 1825, he became very successful there. He even had big successes in France during the 1825 and 1826 seasons.

Rubini traveled to many famous cities to perform. He moved to Paris to sing in operas by Rossini. He sang in shows like La Cenerentola and Otello. He spent his winters in Paris and his springs in London. He worked closely with the composer Vincenzo Bellini. They worked together on shows from 1826 to 1835. Rubini was also part of the "Puritani quartet." This was a famous group of four singers. The other members were Giulia Grisi, Antonio Tamburini, and Luigi Lablache.

Rubini's life was full of many great achievements. He was made an honorary member of the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna. This is a special group for music people. He retired in 1845 with a great fortune. He lived until 1854 and died in his home town of Romano. Today, he is buried in a large marble monument in a cemetery there. His life shows how much one person can change the world of music.
