There are two types of frustration. The first type is internal. This happens inside your own mind. It can come from fear or a lack of confidence. It can also happen when you have two goals that fight each other. This is called cognitive dissonance. This is when your thoughts do not match up.

The second type is external. This happens because of things outside of you. A physical roadblock can cause this. A very hard task can cause it, too. You might also feel this if you think you are wasting time.

Some people have high frustration tolerance. This is the ability to stay calm during hard tasks. These people keep trying even when they fail. Others have low tolerance. They may get mad quickly when things are hard.

Frustration can lead to many outcomes. It can make you try harder to solve a problem. However, it can also lead to anger or even violence. This happens when people feel they cannot control the problem.
